When it comes to scanning of unusual technical drawings for Network Rail, the TOCs and the Rail consultancies, we’ve seen it all! In addition to the traditional document types such as HR and Finance records, our experience includes scanning of:

  • Train operating manuals
  • Rolling stock maintenance records
  • Engineering drawings on paper, aperture cards, microfiche jackets, and microfilm rolls
  • Large format drawing sheets greater than A0 size
  • Driver training documents

We have helped many of Highways England’s Managing Agents as well as the Highways departments of several Local Authorities with projects such as:

  • Scanning drawings, As-Builts, and Structures files with the complex metadata indexing required for systems such as HADDMS, SMIS and other Highways England legacy asset information systems
  • Scanning the same document types with georeferenced coordinates for uploading into HAGDMS
  • Scanning several complete archives of bridge drawings, lighting records, street furniture files, and other asset data for Local Authorities to import into Symology and other Asset Information Systems
